Recently colored this Shane Davis piece for the June 2012 issue of Fast Company magazine that’s out on stands now. The illustration is for a feature on Thomas Tull of Legendary Entertainment and where he stands among the 100 Most Creative People in Business. First published work I ever did was color a piece of Shane’s work right after we graduated from the Kubert School. Exactly ten years later and it’s still a blast when we team up to do cool shit together.

Great work as usual from you Gabe! Love seeing your work and glad to see that you are still in the game. I want my Happy Samurais before I die! so you have about 40 more years to work on it. That is short time for you. JK! Hope all is well and that you are going out and keeping the dream alive! Are you going to New York Comic Con this coming October? If not I may see you at C2E2 in 2013. We will see how this years treats me now that I am a graduate. Once again, keep it strong! Love the work!
Thanks for the comments, Darren. Still working on The Happy Samurais every day. Get closer to the finish line all the time. Nothing set in stone about cons, but I’m planning on coming out for NYCC again in the fall. We’ll see how things go though.
